NEW BUILD

Slab on grade with edge beam penetration
Picking up all black and grey water
An overflow relief gully is fitted behind the plumbing apprentice
Pipe trench depth is 500 mm – the minimum for a trafficable area
Inspection opening at building edge on top of Drainwave
Drainwave is bedded on a mortar base

Installation for two dwellings. A Drainwave was installed to collect grey and black water from both properties to create a wave effect down the drains and prevent blockages.

The unit was installed in an existing pit
The unit picks up grey water for a wash down of any solids left stranded in the pipe
MEDIUM DENSITY DISABLED HOUSING

The property is for disabled people who live as a group
Drainwave picks up kitchen waste water only
Outlet 100 diameter pipe drainage is back under the slab
Drainwave is installed in ground with a concrete path slab poured back over the unit after installation
A low 150 diameter inspection riser through slab is shown
MEDIUM DENSITY DISABLED HOUSING

The Drainwave is picking up shower waste only and “washing down” the run between the house and the sewer main (approximately 20 meters)
Pipes were laid at reduced grades and with dips in the pipe from heave of soil (up to 40mm of waste water)
Note 1000 mm long riser with Drainwave placement in ground (underneath the concrete path – to be re-instated after installation)
